Death is the ultimate truth of human life. Every religion has its own belief about what happens after death — some burn the body, others bury it, and some believe the soul is reborn in another form.

🇨🇳 چین – جلانا یا دفنانا؟ / China – Cremation or Burial?

چین میں زیادہ تر لوگ لاش کو جلاتے ہیں (Cremation)۔ بدھ مت اور تاؤ مت کے ماننے والے سمجھتے ہیں کہ جسم کو جلانے سے روح پاک ہو جاتی ہے۔ جبکہ مسلمان کمیونٹی جیسے ہوئی اور اوئیغور اسلامی تعلیمات کے مطابق دفناتی ہے۔

In China, most people prefer cremation. Buddhists and Taoists believe burning purifies the soul. However, Muslim minorities like the Hui and Uyghurs follow Islamic burial traditions.

🇮🇳 بھارت – آگ کے حوالے / India – Fire as Liberation

ہندو مت میں موت کے بعد جسم کو آگ کے حوالے کیا جاتا ہے۔ یہ عمل روح کو پاک کر کے موکش (Moksha) یعنی نجات تک پہنچاتا ہے۔ البتہ مسلمانوں اور عیسائیوں میں تدفین رائج ہے۔

اسلام میں لاش کو غسل دیا جاتا ہے، کفن پہنایا جاتا ہے اور دفنایا جاتا ہے۔ یہ عقیدہ قرآن کی آیت سے جڑا ہے کہ “ہم نے تمہیں مٹی سے پیدا کیا، اور اسی میں لوٹائیں گے۔”

In Islam, the body is washed, wrapped in a white shroud, and buried directly in the earth. It follows the Quranic verse: “We created you from dust and to dust you shall return.”

🇺🇸 امریکہ – جدید تدفین / USA – Traditional and Green Burials

عیسائی مذہب میں تابوت کے ساتھ تدفین عام ہے، لیکن آج کل “Green Burial” یعنی ماحول دوست تدفین کا رجحان بڑھ رہا ہے۔

Most Christians in the U.S. prefer burial in coffins, but modern “Green Burials” — eco-friendly, chemical-free burials — are gaining popularity.

🇮🇩 انڈونیشیا – Toraja قبیلے کا منفرد عقیدہ / Indonesia – The Toraja’s Unique Tradition

Toraja قبیلے میں مرنے کے بعد لاش کو فوراً دفن نہیں کیا جاتا بلکہ کئی دنوں تک گھر میں رکھا جاتا ہے۔ بعد میں ایک مذہبی تہوار میں تدفین کی جاتی ہے۔

The Toraja tribe keeps the body at home for weeks before burial, believing it allows a gradual farewell. A grand funeral ceremony follows, celebrating life and death together.

🕊️ مختلف مذاہب کے عقائد / Afterlife Beliefs Across Religions

اسلام / Islam:

روح برزخ میں جاتی ہے جہاں قیامت تک انتظار کرتی ہے۔

The soul rests in “Barzakh” (intermediate world) until the Day of Judgment.

ہندو مت / Hinduism:

روح دوبارہ جنم لیتی ہے، اعمال کے مطابق نیا جسم حاصل کرتی ہے۔

The soul reincarnates into a new body according to its past karma (deeds).

بدھ مت / Buddhism:

روح مختلف جنموں سے گزرتی ہے، جب تک نروان (نجات) حاصل نہ کر لے۔

The soul passes through cycles of rebirth until it achieves Nirvana — the ultimate liberation.

عیسائیت / Christianity:

موت کے بعد روح خدا کے حضور جاتی ہے — نیک لوگ جنت میں، برے جہنم میں۔

قیامت کے دن روح اور جسم دوبارہ زندہ ہوں گے۔

On the Day of Resurrection, both body and soul will be revived to face divine judgment.

تاؤ مت / Taoism:

روح قدرتی توانائی (Chi) کا حصہ بن جاتی ہے۔

The soul merges back into nature’s energy flow — the eternal Chi.
